Adelbert must have been somewhat of a common name in the late 1800's.
It appeared in my wife's family and was the middle name of both my
father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Luckily my wife wasn't attached to it enough to try and name our son
Adelbert. whew!!

Adelbert is not a very common name. Pronounced A-DEL-Bert and not like
adle-pated! Both my father and his grandfather carried the name.
Adelbert Warner Carrier who was the son of George Lyman Carrier, the son
of Erastus (Joseph, Andrew, Andrew, Thomas). I do not have all of
Erastus' children's names. Does anyone know Adelbert A. Carrier's
parentage? Could he be one of Erastus' children? Birtdates of known
children rane from 1814-1830. How old does Pvt Adelbert appear to be?
