Hello everyone! This is for anyone researching the
Thomas Morgan Carrier line of the family. If anyone has
been up on this, you know you have probably hit a brick
wall when you go back to Wales looking for Thomas'
parents. We also know that in some way he was involved
with the English Civil War/ death of Charles I. I have
heard many different accounts as to his involvements in
this schema. Some say that he was a Roundhead, and
others that he was a Leveller. I have heard that he was
the executioner of Charles I, and also that his
signature may very well be on that death warrant. The
Carrier name originates in France, but the Morgan name
originates in Wales. Yet he has both names in his name
However, we have no solid evidence to go on. Does
anyone have any family stories stating his involvement
in the war, or have any ideas? Has anyone else heard of
Thomas being a Leveller? Geri gave me that idea the
other evening, and it was an intriguing idea. Please
post any responses. Anxious to try and figure this one
out!!! Thanks for any help you might provide! ~Nicole
