Hi Bill... just got your note re: Keziah. Could you forward this on to
whoever asked about why the move to Niles - here is what may have
happened.. I looked on ERik's descendancy charts and he had notes of move
to Niles, MI beside two Schnorf names... so it may be that these two
Schnorf ladies married two friends who moved together to Niles from Ohio.
Euphamia Schnorf who married Benjamin Nye, and Keziah Schnorf who married
David Mell both have notes of moving to Niles beside their names. My
guess would be either Mell or Nye had relatives in Niles and they moved
together, which was pretty common back then. The library in Niles should
have census records and maybe early history books - it is also
interesting that Keziah named their first daughter Euphamia Emily! Bet
the sisters were together when their babies were born! Hi John and Ann!
