I'm not pimping the book but thought the second link is an
interesting
read.
Kind of what I found when I went to Salem in 97.

Hi all!
Not much traffic on the list lately, but I thought I'd alert folks to
a new book by Robin DeRosa (Plymouth State University) called "The
Making of Salem: The Witch Trials in History, Fiction and
Tourism" (McFarland, 2009).

For all of us who have wrestled with the tension between the
historical records, fictionalized re-tellings, and the kitschy tourist
traps, this is a very interesting read. This is a bit from near the
end of the book:

Cheers,
Margo
