Iris,
Yes I am aware of Martha's fate at the end of a rope. I am also related to the
Hawthornes(Hathorne) the judge who presided over the trial.
Thomas Carrier lived to the age of 101. Some say 106. I have Thomas' death date as 16
May 1735 in Colchester, Connecticut. He and Martha had 6 children. My family also migrated
to Cayuga County, N.Y. (Summerhill) but were not my New England connections. I have
Mayflower Howells,Howlands, and Buckleys of Cayuga County.
Your Richard had two wives, Elizabeth Sessions and Thankful Brown. Thankful and Richard
had four children-Hannah-Thankful-Remembrance-, and Amos. Amos died young in Colchester. I
do not carry this family further downward as you do.Martha Carrier's mother Faith
Ingalls was the ancestor of Laura Ingalls Wilder of "Little House on the
Prairie" fame. Most genealogies only carry her Wilder surname of her husband and do
not trace her ancestors to Billerica and Andover,Mass.
We again have common ground with Calhoun County,Mich. as my same family of Cayuga County
settled in Marengo,Michigan near Marshall. It is not far from my home here in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. Ted
