Hi all,
I'm working on my Carrier family tree. I have a letter that was written to
my gramps, Charles M. Carrier b. (originally from Troy, NY) from L.A.
Carrier. The stationary has an engraved address L.A. Carrier, Carpenter
and Builder, 262 Union St., Bennigton, Vermont and is dated December 14,
1930. He talks about moving the remains of some of my ancestors from the
old Carrier cemetary to a new plot in Hillside Cemetary.
So, here are the questions I have!
1. Who is L.A. Carrier? I have never before or since seen any reference to
him anywhere!
2. Where was the old Carrier Cemetary?
3. Does Hillside Cemetary still exist? Where? (the letter says that it and
the Old Carrier Cemetary were/are near each other.
If you have any answers, I would be most appreciative!
Thanks!
Susan Carrier
