Nicole:
Thanks for writing. No, I do not believe this is the same Elisha-unless, Mary
Fuller died and he then married Triphene Scoville (do not have a marriage
date); Elisha and Triphene show up on 1800 census for Goshen or Norfolk-can't
remember which. The search goes on. Again, thanks for taking the time to write.

I have an Elisha Carrier, son of Samuel Carrier, Sr., born 13 Jan 1767, but
married to Mary Fuller on the 22 Feb 1795. This Elisha Carrier's father,
Samuel, was born in Colchester, and died in East Haddam. Not sure if this is
who you
are referring to. This line is a cousin line to my direct line back to Thomas
Morgan-Carrier (my mother is a Carrier).
Also, not sure if the farm you are referring to is the mill/farm that was
built by Thomas and his sons (and which my uncle still lives in today - my
grandfather grew up there). It sits on the Connecticut River, in Middle
Haddam.
Although I am sure that whatever property other Carriers lived on was surely
a
large farm, I can't say I have ever heard of any other substantial Carrier
land
mentioned that wasn't referring to this family home.
