Hi group:
The following shows a notice of Sheriff's Sale of land. Included in this
listing is my
gr-gr-grandmother, Catherine Johnson Carrier, the widow of John C. Carrier.
He died c. 1865, as a "result of the Civil War." I have no idea what caused
his death. Catherine Carrier and her extended family all moved to Newton,
Jasper Co., Iowa, in 1877, after selling her land.
