Hi David,
My name is Marie Loughlin, I'm with a group of Berry researchers that are
exploring the Berry's of Augusta and Washington Co. VA. Here is what we have
on William Berry.

William Berry's wife is Mary McSpadden daughter of Moses McSpadden. William
died 1781
in the Battle of Whitesill's Mill. Here is his will. His father, Thomas,
brother James and Brother-in-law James Trimble husband of Mary Berry are the
executors of the will.

Washington & Colony of Virginia being of sound & disposing mind

Hugh Fullen James Berry William Berry
(seal) At a court held of Washington County the 19th day of
June 1781, This Last Will & Testement of William Deceased and
witnessed by the oath of James Berry and witness thereto and by
Thomas Berry and James Trimble that the main probated to said
wife land furniture of the said William Berry deceased was
exhibited in Court & ordered to be recorded. Attest John
Campbell CWC
David, as you can see it only lists one son, Thomas. We have always
thought that Samuel Berry that married Nancy Ann Crow dau of Robert Crow,
was the son of William but could not prove it as of yet. What proof have
you got for the placement of Samuel Berry son of William and Mary. We would
love to know.
P. S. we have lots more info for you if you are from this family!!!!!
