Well, I'm not here to argue with you, just toss the facts out and let them speak for
themselves. I can't ignore the facts that three census all bracket the age of
Amariah's birth in the 1770's and I need to go by that to determine his parentage.
Two census from his children indicate that he was born in New York and not in Connecticut.
No birth record with the other children of Amos is listed for Amariah. At firts I thought
it was overlooked by the compiler but now feel sure he was not a son of Amos and Phebe.
Amos, according to information on him was too old to have children at Amariah's birth.
I have also considered that Amazaih may be a parent. However, S. S. Carrier says that
Amariah's father died when he was young in the Army. And so, that rules out Amaziah as
he lived to be an old man.
Records show that Amariah lived in Albany NY, this was one county over from where Amaziah
lived, which indicated that there probably was relationship of some sort.
I am off to a birthday party for my 3 year old grandson.
Have a good day...Linda
