Dear Neal and all,
I looked at the article on the site, and have a few commentaries.
First, let's address the age factor. According to the information on them, and the
date we have for our Thomas' birthday, if this were his father, he would be
approximately 10 years old. Granted, we don't have any validation of 1626 as his
birth, short of his word, which as we all know is not highly reliable.
Secondly, the article states that this Thomas Carrier/Morgan *greeted* the King. If this
is the case, where did the whole rumor of our Thomas being an enemy of the King/escaping
the tower/ beaheading the King, etc... come from?
And the article mentions one of his daughters. Given it is detailing the lineage of this
castle, but wouldn't it be MUCH more likely that detailing of any sons would be given,
especially considering the era?
I'm not saying that is isn't possible. I think it could be possible that this man
is his father, especially given the name (I mean how many Morgan-Carrier people have we
ever run across?) It is definitely food for thought.
Comments? Questions?
