This is really a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try.
I am looking for a man who was supposedly named "Lee Carrier". My great aunt
wrote that when she was a young girl, a reporter named Lee Carrier came to her home. He
came to interview her great-grandmother about her experiences as a Civil War spy. At the
time they lived in Coal County, Oklahoma, near a town called Ash Flat. I am trying to find
out who this "Lee Carrier" was. Based on Census records, I am doubting his name
was really Lee, and am guessing that Lee was probably his middle name. My great aunt's
great grandmother, whose named was Sarah Jane Patton, died in 1919. Allene, my great aunt,
was born in 1903. Sarah Jane did not move to Oklahoma until after the 1910 Census so he
would have visited sometime between 1910 and 1919. I just want to know anything about a
Lee Carrier or a _____ Lee Carrier, who was a reporter or a journalist or an author and
who lived at least somewhere in the general vicinity of Oklahoma.
I know this is a long shot, I would just really like to find out if he ended up publishing
anything on Sarah Jane's Civil War exploits. Please let me know if you can help me. I
really appreciate it.
