Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
It was a dark and stormy night.
I snuggled down reading the latest newsletter from Cymdeithas Olrhain Achau
Cymry America.
This is dedicated to tales from Wales and Welsh genealogy.
On the last page was the following query.
"Are you descendant of Thomas ap Morgan, born about 1600 in the Glamorgan
area of Wales?
Thomas's son, Richard Morgan, was born in America in 1635 - I am interested
in knowing more about
the siblings of Thomas, his mother and their home village in Wales."
Well, so am I. I've written the lady who wrote it and will see what she has
to add.

A fellow list member sent this to me and I'm passing it on......
Hey, Neal!
Check out this attachment. I was perusing the New England Historic
Genealogical Society Website & came across a reference to a bible record for
the John M. Carrier family, 1796-1936.
I wrote a letter (e-mail, actually...) back in November to see if I could
get a copy & Lo and Behold! This is what I got today...
Some of the information does not jive with the headstones in Hillside
Cemetery, nor with some U.S. Census data, but I believe that may have been
errors in the transcription.
I have no record of Frank A.S.Carrier, either, but I have a Smith M.
Carrier, who was born c.1849-50 & may be the same person...
I also had a Sarah E. listed as a child of J.M., but she doesn't appear in
the manuscript...
Looks like you were right about the (2) Emily E. Carriers!
There are some Brainards in there that I will have to research at
Hillside...
Emma Enos Weatherby Orr Adams is a new on on me, too...
Feel free to pass this on to the Carrier rootsweb if you'd like...
Later, Cuz

Well, we can't blame Thomas for this but most of us have other ancestors
that came over in 1630 probably with the Winthrop fleet.
So, Nicole, since my sister died from colon cancer and we live in New York,
it's your mission to use your inside contacts to see which family they are
studying.
