Donald "Ray"'s Story
Donald Ray Carrico, 76, of Odon, Indiana, entered into rest Saturday, Feb.
10, 2018, in Washington, Indiana. He was born June 2, 1941, in Knox County,
Indiana, to Donald W. and Berniece (Terrell) Carrico.
Ray was a member of NMLRA and Buffalo Trace. He worked at the Odon Vault
Company for 15 years, the Indiana State Board of Health for 29 years, and
also owned Powder Keg in Odon. Ray retired on June 3, 2002.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Grace Carrico; his children,
Wayne (Jan) Carrico of Winslow, Doug (Lisa Moore) Carrico of Odon, Ava
(Matt) Meier of Morris, Illinois, and April (Grant) Carrico-Hardegree of
Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Andrew (Morgan) Carrico, Mandy (Mike)
Roland, Brittany (Lawton) Bell, Ethan Meier, Dylan Ellis, Zach (Angel)
Moore, Brooke (Zach) Moore, Emily Carrico, Brandon (Margaret) Spears and
Jessica (Darrell) Skomp; his great-grandchildren, Noah, Shelby and Jake
Carter, Creek Sullivan, Andrew and Autumn Barrett, Ford, Victoria, Logan and
Adrianne Carrico, Grayson Bell, Harleigh, Kayden, Makenzie, Riley and Jase
Skomp, Chase, Logan and Jaylynn Spears; and his brother, Alvin (Pat) Carrico
of Evansville.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb.
17, 2018, at Union Chapel Mennonite Church (Bunkam Church) in Odon.
