Since Linda was so kind and gracious to post my home page at fortunecity and
which site is a few years out of date, I have to and have been given
permission by Linda to post my new and current site at roots web. The
actual site is at ~
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~waughtel/index.htm ~ and the
George Keith document she refers to is at ~
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~waughtel/Records.htm ~ and these
are listed alphabetically ~ and although I have not updated the "gedcom"
from fortunecity of 1998 and as I keep finding errors I would prefer to
answer questions individually rather than updating that portion at the time
being. It can be used as a guideline and I will be more than happy to
answer any questions to the best of my ability.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view the site or to write me. My
'welcome' page is being revised and updated to include the surnames of my
more direct lines. This has been an in-progress and/or under construction
type project since transferred over to rootsweb and slowly being updated.
My foremost thought was to get the documents online for helping others and
then correcting the more personal portion.
Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington).

Antoinette & list,
For those who haven't come across Antoinette's website before, you can
find
it:
http://www.fortunecity.com/millenium/savannah/252/homepage.htm
She has a number of documents transcribed, including George Keith's will
which you can get to from this page:

I recently posted the will of this James Carrico proved 1815 to the
Carrico
board at ancestry/rootsweb
http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/message/an/surnames.carrico/297
Children named were Aquilla, Matthew, Francis, George, James, Alexander &
Ann Stacia.
It appears to be his widow who in the 1820 census, Washington Co., KY is
listed page 74 as Joan Carrico with males: 2 26/45; 1 16/26; 2 10/16.
Females: 2 over 45; 1 10/16. 11 slaves. Son Francis is listed in a
household
of his own. See
http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/message/an/surnames.carrico/304
Homer Edwin Carrico in "The Carrico Family" publ. 1951 Filson Club
Quarterly
in footnote 106 page 246 states:
Francis, son of James and Joan Carrico, born June 19, 1792, and baptized
May
19, 1793. Sponsors were Henry Carrico and Elinda Ryan;"
James T. Carrico was in Washington Co., KY as early as 1799 when he paid
taxes there, listed as Carrico, T James (see message posted to the board
gatewayed to the list last night re: Washington County Kentucky Taxpayers
1792-1799).
Diana Matthison has a website with Carrico info. She lists several deeds
in
Charles Co., MD for this James, one which is dated Nov 3 1785 between
your
George Keith & "James Carrico of John".
http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/7/Carrico/FGS/JamesCarrico.shtml
Note that this James Carrico may be grandson of James b. 1696/97 via his
son
John & not grandson of Peter II who died by 1765 via his son John
named in
his will.
