Linda,
This happened to me two weeks ago on three other lists including the Grayson
Co, KY list. AOL has a very arrogant attitude toward fixing the problem, the
Rootsweb postmaster has to contact the AOL Postmaster at 703-265-4670 or
1-800-212-5537. AOL will not start any conversation to investigate the problem
even though it is initiated and is completely the problem of AOL. I have
unsubscribed from all my lists and transferred to other lists, forgot about the
Carrico list and all of a sudden two weeks ago the problem got resolved and I
started getting e-mail from 6 lists at two different locations. I have since
unsubscribed from them all at AOL. Will do the same for the Carrico list, if I
ever get another e-mail from the Carrico list at AOL or you can jsut let me stay
unsubscribed. I am concurrently subscribed to the Carrico list at my
bobalvey@Juno address. By the way, AOL has also been know to bounce all the Walmart
members (wcconnect) too.
You are being extremely kind as the list owner to permit 16 bounces before
unsubscribing the member, that has to be a terrible burden on top of keeping the
list going.
By the way, I am a Carrico researcher, descending from Thomas Ignatius
Carrico & Elizabeth Kirby thru James H Carrico who married Elizabeth Troutman,
their son James Michael who married Ann Missouri Pike, their son Felix Blumer
Carrico who married secondly Annie Erminilda Buckman and they had my grandmother
Nannie Agnita Carrico who married Kempis Lee Alvey, Sr. This is mainly a Hardin
Co, KY family.

Hey guys, this list shouldn't really be any trouble to admin. I am getting a
lot of bounce messages today, each time a message is sent to the list, but
we've had more messages than usual today.
At this point I haven't done anything, but at least one subscriber has
gotten automatically unsubscribed. I can change the settings for the
automatic bit, right now it's at 4 bounces which is what it was & also what
rootsweb recommends. The list is a bit more active today, so perhaps I
should up it & see what happens.
