Linda:
If you are correct about a Mathew Carrico in the 1820 Washington, KY census, this could be
significant to finding the ancestors of my g-g-grandfather, Mathew G. Carrico. My
g-g-grandfather would have only been about 10 to 13 years old in 1820 -- and I don't
see a male in the household of that age. Nonetheless, I have found no leads for his
family so far -- and I know he was from Kentucky (based on 1830 Texas census data -- the
first record I have of my g-g-grandfather). The name "Mathew or Matthew" is
rare in the Carrico family -- and the age of this Mathew (26/45) is right for the father
of my g-g-grandfather, so I wonder if this Mathew could be the father or close relative of
my g-g-grandfather??
