Loving family man Paul Eugene Carrico, 68, of Kelso passed away Sept. 29,
2014, at St. John Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Portland and graduated from Rainier High
School in 1964. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War (1964-1968)
aboard the USS Rowan.
Paul began working for Longview Fibre Co. in 1968 and retired in 2006 as a
screen room operator. He enjoyed spending time with his children and
grandchildren, fishing and camping. Paul loved to make people laugh.
On April 25, 1970, he married Iris E. Botsford in Longview. She survives him
at home. Also surviving are three sons, Paul Carrico Jr. (Carrie), Rick
Carrico (Amy), and Tim Carrico (Mary); four siblings, Lorraine Webster,
Becky Riser (Jim), Patty Kuning (Mark), and Doug Conover (Georgia); six
granddaughters; three grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon O. Carrico; his mother, Louise
(Terry) Conover; and a brother, Eldon R. Carrico.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses, 408 North 23rd Ave. in Kelso. Elder Larry Ward, a
family friend, will officiate.
