Dear list,
I don't know if there is anyone here that can answer any of my questions,
but thought I'd give it a try anyway.
On my website I have a picture of Samuel P. Carrico & one of his first 2
wives, not sure which wife:
http://freepages.family.rootsweb.com/~boorom/carrico/kypiccarricosranarit...
Samuel Pious Carrico married 3 times, 1st to Idella Hayden on Feb. 4, 1895.
Idella died Feb. 11, 1896 & is buried at St. Jeromes in Fancy Farm, Graves
Co., KY. Only one child born of this marriage who seems to have died an
infant.
He married his 2nd wife, Ludie May Ballard Aug 27 1899 in Marion Co., KY who
was still living for the 1900 census.... 2 children of this marriage, only
Letha Edna survived, she became Sr. Anna Letha in 1920 & died in Clinton IA
1963
His 3rd wife was Anna Ellis Thompson, whom he married in 1906 by whom 9
children were born.
The picture on my website was with my grandmothers effects, she was a d/o
Samuel Pious & Anna Ellis Thompson.
This afternoon, looking through my copy of "A History of St. Jerome Fancy
Farm, Kentucky" 1986, there is a picture of Samuel Pious Carrico's brother
Henry Manuel Carrico & his bride, Augusta Hayden & Augusta is wearing the
SAME DRESS as in the photo mentioned above, even the hair do seems the same,
almost could be the same woman, only the men are different. Because of the
copyright on the St. Jerome's book, I can't post the pic online, but
can/will send to anyone on private request.
Looking though the Hayden section of the St. Jerome's book, Augusta Hayden
was d/o Clement Hayden Julia Florence Hobbs.
Not even the Edward Willett book by Donnelly lists parents for Idella
Hayden, (perhaps because she only existed for 1 census?) but in 1880 an
Idellar Hayden age 6 was living with Richard & Louisa Hayden. It appears
Richard was bro. of Clement, Augusta's father.
I guess I'm trying to confirm that the picture I have on my website is
Idella Hayden. The resemblence to Augusta Hayden is as they might be twins,
AND, wearing the exact same dress.
Too wierd.......
