Diana and Linda:
Being respectful of my advanced age, may I suggest you both "take a deep
breath" - and then continue your collaboration of solving our many "Carrico
mysteries". I, and I'm sure many others on this list, really appreciate
both of you - and we respect the hard work each of you do toward solving our
various Carrico mysteries - mine being to find the parents and earlier
ancestors of Matthew G. Carrico.
The two of you (and other independent researchers on this list) provide a
very important check and balance to assure we don't let "assumptions" morph
in to "assumed fact". "Assumed facts" of others in the past have
muddied
the water - and we all need to very careful to keep separate what can and
cannot be documented. Having said that, I do believe it can be very useful
to pursue lines of reasoning that cannot at this time be proven by
documentation. We just need to be careful to separate "reasoned
possibilities" - and clearly state that such reasoning is not yet documented
by fact. Such "reasoned possibilities" can help narrow the search - e.g.
based on such things as approximate year of birth, geographic area, etc.
A hearty thanks to each of you. Please keep up the hard work!
Regards,
Fred Carrico

And I apologize, Linda, if I'm being thin-skinned or mis-read the intent of
your
message. Your wealth of knowledge on CARRICO *is* appreciated, especially
as we
need good lineages to go with the DNA test results, or they're going to
mis-lead
us.
My CARRICO line is so short, I never did a lot of research on CARRICO. That
is,
I descend from a daughter of Charles CARRICO & Martha REASON, and we don't
know
who Charles's parents are, so... end of line, end of story. But I have
always
had an intense curiosity about the origin of CARRICO, so I started the DNA
project. Now I'm deeply embroiled in trying to produce accurate genealogies
of
the project members to put online, all of which is new material to me. I
really
need to depend on others to help because it just isn't humanly possible for
me
to redo, from scratch, what has taken other decades to do.
Thank you for all the help you've been,
Diana

I apologize Diana, I was only trying to help.
