That's convincing evidence, Linda. Your diligence in gathering records pays
off. I've added "John" as father of James T. on the node chart.

Subject: [CARRICO] James T. Carrico
Diana announced the partial (60 of 67 markers) results of the
DNA testing of a descendant of John W.
Carrico b. 1826-28 who had resided in Prince William Co., VA
& Fauquier Co., VA. This individual
bears the same mutation at CDYb as James T. Carrico & Charles
Carrico. Other than knowing they all
go back to the immigrant Peter Carrico, we still don't know
how close the 3 may be related.
I was going to post the following to the Carrico DNA list,
but realized the information might be
discussed better here.
Of the 3 above individuals, there is only 1 whom there are
records to document who his father was.
Charles Co., MD deed book Z 3 pages 195-196, recorded
12/15/1785 states that on 11/3/1785 George
Keith conveyed to "to the said James Carrico of John" 93
acres of New Bradford. "Monica wife to the
said George Keeth and acknowledged her right of dower."
Charles Co., MD deed book N 4 pages 545-546, recorded
3/22/1796 states that on 3/22/1795 "James
Carrico of John" conveyed to Josias Smoot 93 acres of New
Bradford. "Joanna wife to the said James
acknowledged her right and dowry".
Bourbon Co., KY George Keith wrote his will March 16, 1806
which states "I give & bequeath unto my
daughter Joannah Kerico one negroe boy named Stephen which
said negroe Stephen is to be considered
as equal to eighty pounds".
Washington Co., KY will book B pages 468-169 is recorded the
will of James Carrico written 8/15/1814
& recorded 12/11/1815 wherein he mentions his "beloved wife
Joana carrico".
I think this shows that the "James Carrico of John" in
Charles Co., MD is the same James Carrico who
died Washington Co., KY 1815-15. He first appears in the tax
records of Washington Co., in 1796 & is
listed as James T. Carrico.
Has anyone found anything to suggest that these are the same man?
