I went digging through my files this morning for something I recalled having or seeing
which
indicated that Henry & Susanna Carrico were still in MD after 1810, even though he
does not appear
in the 1810 census (either missed or that portion of the census is lost?)
I found it in scans I had made Oct 2007 at my local Family History Center of FHL film
13759 Records
of the Congregations of Upper & Lower Zachiah, Mattawoman & St. Mary's
(Bryantown) 1793-1861 Copied
and presented to the Maryland Historical Society by Mrs. Frank P. (Louise Keen Gcerjnes)
Scrivener
through the Maryland Society of the Colonial Dames of America January 9th, 1922.
Pages 148-160 begins with listing the trustees of the church in 1811,
Pg 152 begins a "Congregational Roll" which begins "We the subscribers do
hereby respectively oblige
ourselves...." Henry Carrico's name appears on pg 153.
Pg 156 begins "The List of Assessible Property as taken from the sherrifs books
1812". Henry Carrico
appears on pg 153 with 13 after his name, Followed by Henry Montgomery 250.
Henry Carrico does not appear anywhere in the 1810 MD census (that I can find). I bring up
Henry
Montgomery for several reasons, 1st, I also cannot locate him in 1810, but his IS
1820-1840 & died
in 1841.
Recall Henry Montgomery married Marianna (Mary Ann?) Carrico, widow of James Carrico of
Peter.
Also, Stanislaus Carrico is listed in the War of 1812 service records as being in the 1st
Regiment
of the MD militia.
The first record I've found of Henry's family in KY is 1819 when Susan first
appears on the
Washington Co., KY tax list. Has anyone found them earlier?
