My late uncle Oscar Carrico (b.1908)of Kansas City, Kansas (my fathers half-brother) told
me that he was French, and that the name Carrico was mispelled when they were processed to
enter the U.S.
He told me it was like the Chouteau Bridge in Kansas City. The bridge is pronounced
sho-to (both long o's). So, would Carriceau be the French spelling of Carrico? I
don't read or write French. His father was Earnie or Earnest Carrico of Missouri.
