The "History of Preston County West Virginia" Volume I by Oren F Morton,
1914, page 331 names these Carrico siblings:
Peter (arrived in Preston Co 1786)
Francis (arrived in Preston Co 1786)
Catherine (arrived in Preston Co 1786)
a brother who settled in Culpeper Co VA (name?)
a brother who settled [or remained] in Charles Co MD (James of Peter 1790
census Charles Co or James of John are possibilites)
a brother who settled in Kentucky (?Alexander)
another brother (?Joseph of Preston Co WV)
Morton only refers to the brothers of Peter, Francis and Catherine
Carrico. No mention is made of their sisters, if any.
Preston Co was formed entirely from Monongalia Co in 1818. The personal
property tax lists of Monongalia Co, the parent county, cover the years
1783-1850. Morton's 1786 date for the arrival of the Carrico siblings in
Preston Co may be a little early as there are no Carricos listed in the
personal property lists before 1797. These are as follows:
