Saw this on the Culpepper Co VA list:
Carrico's Mill, built c. 1778, is Culpeper County's only mill standing today.
First owned by George Carter, it is now the property of Mr. and Mrs. C.A.
Bunch. When the Slaughter family lived at nearby Milton, they owned and
operated the mill, calling it Milton Mills. George Fitzhugh and Thomas
Norman were the next owners. Later owners William and Elizabeth Ross sold
the property to Josias Carrico in 1860. Though there have been a number of
subsequent owners, the Carrico name persists.
Located on Route 669, about three miles southeast of Brandy Station,
Carrico's Mill is a few miles downstream from Norman's Mill on Mountain Run.
Ruins of the original mill are incorporated in the one still standing.
