YAKIMA-- Mr. Steven (Jack) Carrico, 90, of Yakima, died
Wednesday, October 30, 1991 in Good Samaritan Health Care
Center of Yakima.
He was born August 19, 1901 in Nebraska where he was also
raised and educated. Following his formal education he served
in the U.S. Army following World War I. In the early 1920's he
moved to Yakima where he worked for Boise Cascade Co.
from 1923 until his retirement in 1968.
In October of 1938, he was married to Ina Mae Reynolds in
Ellensburg. Following the death of Ina Mae Carrico in 1985, he
was married to Melba McGuire in Yakima on February 14, 1990.
Mr. Carrico was a fifty year member of the Western Council
of Industrial Workers Union Local 2739 and the First Baptist
Church both of Yakima.
Besides his wife, Melba Carrico of Yakima, he is survived by
one daughter, Gael Scott of Kalama, WA and one step-daughter,
Judy Bedard of Yakima; one sister, Leona (Peggy) Spann of
Westfield, New Jersey; four grandchildren; nine great
grandchildren; five great great grandchildren, several nieces
and nephews, including Henrietta Hill of Rochester, Indiana.
Funeral services will be Friday in Terrace Heights Memorial
Park. Those attending the service should meet in the cemetery
at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Shaw and Sons Memorial Chapel
on Thursday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m.
until 2:00 p.m.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Yakima Youth
Baseball.
