Mrs. Carrico, 73, Of Battle Creek Dies Thursday
BATTLE CREEK -- Mrs. James Carrico, 73, Battle Creek, died
Thursday morning at her home after a short illness. Funeral
services are pending at the Steffen Mortuary at Battle Creek.
Marjorie Sessler was born July 4, 1886 near Battle Creek, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sessler. They moved to Battle
Creek with her parents as a small child.
She married James Carrico at Meadow Grove in 1901 and they
moved to Cherry County in 1902, returning to Battle Creek in
1911. She was a member of the Battle Creek Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James; one daughter, Mrs. F. R.
Bailey, Torrance, Calif.; two sons, Paul S. of Torrance, Calif., and
William H. of Omaha; 4 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lulu
Haaland of Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. Florence Brand of Grinnell, Iowa.
One daughter died in infancy.

BATTLE CREEK -- Funeral services for Mrs. James Carrico, 73,
Battle Creek, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist
Church here. The Rev. Herbert Gilbert, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery. The body will lie in state from
4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Steffen Mortuary.

BATTLE CREEK -- Funeral rites for Mrs. James Carrico, 73,
Battle Creek, who died Thursday, were conducted Saturday in the
Methodist Church here by the Rev. I. Lester Hart of Tilden.
Hymns were sung by Miss Brenda Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Aage
Peterson and Dr. E. L. Church. Mrs. Peterson was the organist.
Burial was in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nels Anderson,
Ernest Catron, Aage Peterson, Charles Schacher, John Walz and
Paul Schott.
Marjorie Sessler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sessler, was
born July 4, 1886, near Battle Creek. She was married in 1903 to
James Carrico at Meadow Grove. They moved to Cherry County
in 1904, and in 1911 they returned to Battle Creek.
Mrs. Carrico became a member of the Methodist Church in 1922.
