I recently sent out a batch of messages and discovered that the smallest in
size was sent first, instead of the order that they were written. Maybe
it's the same ... I don't even pretend to understand it.

Well, here we go again. I sent this message at 3:32 PM on Monday, and it
didn't
arrive on the list until 2:53 AM on Tuesday *after* my own reply to it. I
sent
the reply at 4:19 PM on Monday, and it arrived at 10:30 PM on Monday, four
and a
half ours before the message to which it was a reply!
So, I'm sorry that the reply arriving first means it couldn't have made
sense.
If the chatter on LISTOWNERS-L is any indication, other admins are
experiencing
the same, including even longer delays between the time a message is sent
and
when it arrives on the list. RootWeb is aware of the problem and is working
on
it. Of course, they don't clue us in on what the problem is or how soon we
can
expect things to get back to normal.
I can understand a delay (e.g., if a server's down or overloaded). For the
life
of me I can't understand how the messages come back out of order.
