Hello List,
You may recall that we've earlier tested a descendant of Charles CARRICO of
Sullivan Co., IN, and that he turned not to be a DNA match to the rest of the
CARRICOs presumed to descend from Peter CARRICO, the 1674 immigrant. In an
effort to determine the location of this NPE, additional lines need to be
tested. We now have two new members whose results will address this question.
One is #143861, a brother of #132113, the individual originally tested. His
results will determine whether or not their father bore the NPE, which has
consequences for them, though possibly not for the rest of Charles's
descendants.
The other is #143924, a CARRICO who descends from Charles on a different line,
through his son Basil, as opposed to the above who descend from Charles through
his son, Reason. His results should tell us whether or not Charles possessed
the NPE, which has consequences for all of Charles's descendants.
Given that I, too, descend from Charles, I find myself anticipating the results
with a combination of hope and dread. We won't have to wait for all the results
to return. We'll know a soon as the first 12 markers come back.
