Thanks for the information. Could you have your brother check to see what he
has on Cornelius Carrico who was born around 1772 and Married a Susanna Shanks
in 1806 in Nelson County, Ky. They later moved to Washington County, Ky and had
3 children, Ann, Theresa and Edward. I'm a decendant of Edward. There were two
Cornelius Carrico's the younger was born around 1798 and married a Theresa
Obryan and later moved to Graves County, Ky. The exact relationship between the
2 Cornelius's have never been confirmed and that's what I'm trying to
determine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Don Carrico

Linda,
I agree with your feelings about the paper trail. That means more to me than
than the blood analysis but I do find the DNA project interesting as well. I've
recently been in contact with some long lost relatives on my Paternal
Grandmother's side and it's been a very rewarding experience, a lot of
fascinating interesting people who did a lot of writing between each other from
far off distances. I have learned one thing the paper trail can be very
involved
and extremely confusing when you have large families like I do. I know you have
been dedicated to the paper trail and I thank you for all your efforts. I
would really be interested to hear any discoveries you may have uncovered of
late. As you know know my main interest, has been to determine who the parents
are of Cornelius Carrico the elder. I still believe there has to be
a very
close connection to Bartholmew Carrico but again the paper trail does not
confirm this. Anyway if you have some time drop me a line and let me know what
you've discovered of late.

Diana,
Thanks for posting this :-)
To all, I had written Diana to see if we could post something on this list
hoping to encourage
members here to discussion on the Carrico-L. I understand that Diana wants to
keep this list
primarily for Carrico DNA announcements & would like the discussions to remain
on the Carrico-L.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I've long had questions, have long
tried
to seek answers
(more often raising more questions). But I'm excited about the DNA progress and
would love to have
some discussions about what the DNA results mean along with what we know about
the paper trails to
see if as a group we can sort some of this out.
Hopefully together we'll solve some of the puzzle!
