I just found this evening that a sister-in-law of my grandmothter, Christine
Charlotte (Carrico) Wischer (1911-2004) passed away in Sep. 2006. My mother
wasn't aware of this & it appears that of 2 living sisters, one just found out

Mary Carrico, 88, O'Fallon, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at St. Anthony
's Hospice DeGreef House, Goodfellow Terrace, Mo. She was born May 3, 1918, in
Mayfield, Ky.
Mary was a devout Catholic who attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
Centerville, Ill., and St. Catherine Laboure, Cahokia, Ill. She was a member of
St. Nicholas parish for five years, serving as a eucharistic minister, and a
member of Yesterdays Kids.
She is survived by her children, William G. and wife Mary Jo Carrico, Cahokia,
Ill., Janet E. and husband David Neel, Hagerstown, Md., Larry J. and wife Donna
Carrico, Columbia, Ill., John E. Carrico, Bunker Hill, Phillip A. and wife Lynne
Carrico, O'Fallon, Ill., Sharon A. and husband Robert Megee, Plano, Texas,
Kenneth C. and wife Tina Carrico, Waterloo, Ill., and Mark E. Carrico and
companion Pam Tincknell, Fenton, Mo.; brothers and sister, Billy and wife Pat
Hobbs, Lucille Robinette, Bob and wife Verna Jean Hobbs, and Tom and wife Jo
Hobbs, all of Louisville, Ky., and Dewey and wife Ruth Hobbs, Fancy Farm, Ky.;
grandchildren, Bobby, Tommy, Shay, Char, Erin, Paul, Michael, Andrew, Bryan,
Joey, Clay, Candace, Angela, Corey, Kaitlin, Raechel, Alicia, Bradley, and
Derick; 10 great-grandchildren; Delbert Willett, Marinast; and her dear friends
and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Joseph S. Carrico; her
parents, James E. and Iva G. Toom Hobbs; a son, James S. Carrico; two brothers,
Curtis and Earl Hobbs; and grandson, Jimmy Carrico.
A funeral mass was conducted at 11 a.m. Sept. 16, 2006, at St. Nicholas Roman
Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill., with Monsignor William Hitpas officiating.
Burial followed at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill. Memorial
