The real thanks go, I think, to those who are willing to be DNA tested for the benefit of
some wacky Americans obsessed with finding their ancestry! I hope that, sooner or later,
the testing becomes meaningful for them, too. To that end...
We now have four Portuguese CARRIÇOs tested without a patrilineal line, at all, and two
more where the patrilineal line does not go beyond their paternal grandfather. I would
like to suggest that, for the future benefit of CARRIÇO family researchers — for their
relatives — they begin compiling and sharing their patrilineal line genealogy. I mean, if
you need a black hole for your time, genealogy is a great hobby!
Seriously, if you only pursue your patrilineal line, it doesn't have to consume *all*
your free time.
