Diana, I want to have DNA testing done on my mother's brother -Eugene Carrico of Hot
Springs, Arkansas. My mother Norma Carrico is deceased. How do I go about doing this?
Thank you. Helen Diane Abraham/Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Hello List,
We have a new member, #160239, a descendant of Charles CARRICO of Sullivan Co.,
IN, through his son, Josiah CARRICO:

The results of this test should answer the question as to whether Charles
carried the mutation at CDYb:
http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/DNA/Carrico/NodeChart-PeterCarrico.shtml#chart
Determining whether or not this mutation happened more than once in the family
has important consequences for uniting lines of descent from Peter I. I would
strongly urge those of you carrying this mutation (viz., #149914, #N9852, and
#146407) to test cousins until you locate the first appearance of the mutation
in your line.
In fact, everyone who bears a mutation distinguishing them from the family's
modal haplotype needs to test cousins to locate the individual in their line in
whom the mutation occurred.
Diana
