Sorry for the out-of-office thing, guys.
I was laid off last week, but only temporarily. Still, my mind was a bit
scattered. Should only be a couple more weeks later this year, but I'm
still keeping my fingers crossed.
Hope you are all weathering the economic turmoil.
On a more relevant note, I noticed some of the correspondence concerning
Thomas Ignatius, son of Peter Carrico II.
Recently, I was surprised to learn that I descend directly from Thomas
Ignatius, though obviously not in a strictly paternal path.
Before you all let fly with the Kentucky jokes, I'll point out that my
parents would probably have been something in the neighborhood of 9th
cousins due to this relationship.
I'd wager that any two persons chosen randomly from the same 100-mile
radius - like my parents were - would be cousins of this magnitude more
often than you'd expect.
