At the University of TN (in Knoxville, I think) there are two dorms
named North Carrick Hall and South Carrick Hall, but I don't think there
is a connection. <GRIN>
Actually there may be. The founder of Blount College, which eventually
became UT, was Rev. Samuel Carrick, a cousin of mine. I don't know much
about descendants, but you can probably trace him from that. If not, let
me know and I can give you some more details about Sml.

My grandmothers name was Molly Ruth Hall b.13 Sep., 1892 d.06
Oct., 1974. Her father was James Carrick Hall he married
Jennie Lee Turner and they lived in the Knoxville, Tenn.
area. It was a custom to give a male child the middle name of
his mother's maiden name hence, I'm looking for a connection.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I haven't been able
to find anything on him.
