Cathy,
What Kerry says about Carricks from Kerri County is correct. I
have found some records in old books of ship passenger lists of those
from Ireland from Kerry, the name Carrick was on it. I did not copy it
though because the book was in my Counties Historical Society and I do
not go there any longer because they are a bunch of snobs. Anyway, you
mught try and go to your nearest LDS Mormon Church, they can do a look
up for you and help you out "Free". They have all micro films of all
info recordered on Ireland Scotland England as well as what the National
Archives has they have as well. Another thing to try is interlibrary
loan of books and films. This too is free. I received several books that
were out of print for almost 100 yrs or more, and they found a holder at
another library for me and let me take it home for study for 2 weeks. It
takes time though, and like finding a needle in a hay stack but I did
hit gold a few times. As for the web, I would do a search in lycos or
Search.com under Geographical Countys of Ireland. Or try
WWW.ASK JEEVES.
COM . I hope I helped. If I find anything, I will post it here for ya.
Good Luck and keep us posted.
Mark
