I am sending this off to Thomas as well because a few years ago he sent me
the Obit on Cassius
Kerrick and wanted to know his fathers name. Robert Karrick once sent me an
email and stated
his father was Kerrick Kerrick and mother was Charlotta.
I just found a biographical sketch from the Historical Society of IL. It is
on
Thomas C. Kerrick of
ILLINOIS. Thomas had a son named Lon H. Kerrick, named after his fathers
brother, Leonidas H.
Kerrick. Lon Kerrick its says lived across from the town of Kerrick,IL and
the
Kerrick Grain
Elevator.
The biography says Kerrick Town was named from Lons father Thomas C.
Kerrick,
Thomas C. Kerrick and
Leonidas H. Kerricks father was Nimrod Kerrick. If the biography is right,
and
I have to assume for
now it is, then you and I need to disregard Cassius as founder of Kerrick,
IL.
Notes on Thomas C. Kerrick:
Was the city of Bloomington IL Lawyer for many years.
President and Founder of the Mclean Co. Historical Society.
Founder of Kerrick, IL

Mr. Kerrick had two towns started in his name due to his craftsmanship

And Kerrick Town of Illinois is located on the North East edge of what
