Marcia, I am sorry that I can't help anymore. The only James Kerrick
that I have would have been born before 1740, and I have no further info
on him anyway, other than that he was the son of Hugh Kerrick and
Elizabeth Luckett. I will send this to the Carrick/Kerrick list and see
if anyone else has any information.

Pete,
The James C. Kerrick (Carrick) I am looking for was from Fairfax Co., Va
and they had a farm up near Alexandria, Va. He was born ca. 1760 and he
had 7 children. All known children were born in VA. His wife's name was
Elizabeth. Some of his children were named Joseph, James and Elizabeth
and possibly John. You know the hard to trace popular names. The other
children I cannot remember off the top of my head. James C. Kerrick
moved to Rowan Co., NC around 1800 and he died Dec 1817. I am trying to
connect him with the Kerrick's (carricks) in Northern VA in the early to
mid 1700's. I need all the help I can get. I do not get out much so I
am relying somewhat on other genealogy enthusiasts. I can only go to the
Library of VA in Richmond because I have small children at home. Some of
my sources come from info on the Internet and others come from distant
kin like Earl Carrick in Greensboro and my uncle in Davidson Co., NC.
Any help would be appreciated. I would be happy to share any that I
have. You can also find my family tree on
RootsWeb.com.
Regards,
Marcia Carmichael Bradbury
