Hi,
I am new to the list and wanted to share my CARR family with you. Lydia Carr was born in
North Carolina. I do not know her maiden name nor when she was married. Her daughter was
Elizabeth Carr
b:01 Oct 1811 d:19 Oct 1898 married James H. Ellison in Montgomery Co., Alabama 02 Jan
1838. In the 1850 census Lydia is living with her daughter Martha Carr Winn and John
Carr, Sam Carr, and Jane
Carr Sharp all live near by. I assume these are her children.
All help is appreciated.

PLEASE KEEP THIS COPY ON HAND!!!
Welcome to the CARR mailing list! You are currently subscribed in
"mail mode", which means that you will receive every posting made
to CARR as a separate e-mail. The directions on how to change to
digest mode are given below.
1. How to unsubscribe. Send a message to
CARR-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
that contains (in the body of the message) the command
unsubscribe
and no additional text.
2. How to subscribe. Whatever you just did worked, or you'd
not be getting this message. But for future reference (for instance,
if your subscription is cancelled for whatever reason and you
want to resubscribe), just send the command "subscribe" to
CARR-L-request(a)rootsweb.com.
3. How to change to digest mode (several postings are combined and
sent to you together as a single large message). There are two
steps. First, send the command "unsubscribe" to
CARR-L-request(a)rootsweb.com to discontinue mail mode. Second,
send the command "subscribe" to CARR-D-request(a)rootsweb.com
to start receiving digests.
4. How to change to NOMAIL mode. There is no formal NOMAIL mode.
All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe
when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them
to start again, simply subscribe again.
5. If you'd like to post a message so everyone on the mailing
list receives it, just send it to CARR-L(a)rootsweb.com. It
will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode.
You don't need to send it explicitly to both.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All mailing lists that go through
Rootsweb are totally and completely free. You are free to make
donations at any time, but there is nothing that ever says you
have to do so, nor do you have to fill out any questionaires.
If you encounter any list that insists on this behavior, please
contact the listowner immediately.
For your verification, a transcript of the original subscription
request is included below.
IMPORTANT - Good Subject lines are important. Please be sure that all
important information is in YOUR subject line. (Who, What, Where, When)
No Attach messages.
Share Information, let everyone you are part of the team by sharing
any CARR information that you come across, even if it doesn't belong
to you lineage.
