Hi Randall,
All the census records indicate Lydia ( ) CARR was born in North Carolina.
Most of what I preceive to be her children were born in NC but they all married in AL.
There were two early CARRs to AL, Josiah and Elijah and later a John, Thomas and a
William. I am unsure which was
her husband. Probate records have mentioned a Mary as the wife of Josiah and Oseabea as
the widow of John. Lydia's children were all born between 1795 and 1825. The last
time I find Elijah mentioned
is 1827 in the Quit claim book page 190 with a deed dated March 24, 1827 to Ruban Jordan
and John Goldthwaite.

Hi Helen--
The place seems wrong -- and I don't know about your dates -- and I don't have
much
information (all of which was supplied to me by someone else) BUT for what it's
worth,
I have a Lydia Hopkins b. (place and time unknown) married William Carr, b. 11 May
1763 in Jamestown, RI, d. 1804 in South Kingstown, RI. (I have no information about
when or where Lydia died.) I descend from their son James, who was born in 1798,
apparently in South Kingstown, RI. I have no information about other children.
