I am searching for my John Carr the hard way . . . tracing down. I have
found in The Carr Family Records by Edson Carr this line:
George Carr (brother of Benjamin, William and James) b. abt 1599 London Eng.
Came on Mayflower as Ship's Carpenter. Plymouth,
Ipswich, Salisbury where he built a ship yard on Carr's
Island in the Merrimac River.
He and 2d wife Elizabeth had 10 children.
Richard Carr - (s/o George) b. Apr 2 1659 Salisbury MA; w/2d wife Mary had
John Carr - (s/o Richard) b. Salisbury MA Aug. 1706 m. Elizabeth Brown in
Newbury
Intentions posted Jan 28, 1726.
Does anyone know about this John Carr? Children? Did his wife Elizabeth
die? Could he be the John Carr who m. Dorothy Hale in Middletown CT in 1744
and who died in Plainfield MA in 1803 age 94 years? (I know the dates are
off by 3 years but I am doing this the hard way.)
Thanks!
