Seeing your info on Rootsweb World Connect and your homepage, I thought
you might like the following information I have:
Elias Reuben Carr (Nov 29,1830- Aug 22,1889)
He married:
Jane Florida Redding (Oct 11,1846-July 19,1928)
Both are buried in Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia
I have the names of three children:
1.Mary Ruth Carr (Dec 19, 1869- Sept 2, 1907)
Mary married Henry David Hynds (Feb 7, 1867 - May 9, 1920)
Both are in Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia on the same plot as
her parents, Elias and Jane Carr.
2.Elias Reuben Carr, Jr. (1870- Aug 22, 1929)
He is in Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia
3.Stella Carr who married Dr. Charles F. Benson
I found Stella in a DAR listing as she was a mamber, and gave Elias and
Jane as parents.
I go this information while visiting Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta last
week. My connection is the Hynds family, and discovered the Carrs as
well. The Cemetery office searched the records to be sure of the
connections. Mary Carr and Henry Hynds had three babies who were only
listed on the grave markers as "Baby". No children survived to
adulthood.

Lucy--
Thanks ever so much for thinking of me! Your information adds nicely to my
Carr database and should be of some help to fellow researchers, including at
least one that is researching this Carr line. If any can add to the
Hynds/Carr marriage, I would encourage them to write you. Thanks again and
happy holidays.
