Flavio --
Thanks so much for the information. The Carrs being discussed are an
important line from Virginia. This information gives me some additional
generations. (see chart below) Others researching the line probably have
considerably more on the subject.
Could you clarify for me, if possible, the relationship between the
various Cabannes you presented? I try to track people with Carr in their
name, and I figure Virginia Carr Cabanne is daughter of Virginia Carr. But
the document doesn't say so. Can you or someone else shed any light on the
matter?

<< I found this today, surfing at FTM(FamilyTreeMaker.com) where I am a
member. I immediately thought of you. Just in case you have not seen it yet I
included below a little quote on CARR.
Curiously, It is from a book called "Creoles of St. Louis" . I have
not read the whole book myself, yet.I bumped into it by chance while
searching for the mother of my John Ruland (whose maternal uncle was Major
William Christy of St Louis and the Revolutionary War). This Cabanne Family
appears to have been involved with Carr, Kerr & Christy Family names, which
include the dau a Major Christy, I do not recognize other names yet.
Enjoy!
