Robert Carr came to Wilkes Co., GA, from NC ca. 1773 and got land grant in
Wilkes Co., Ga. He was killed by Creek Indians in 1779 at Carr Fort in Wilkes
Co., not far from Kettle Creek. His wife was Leanna Ragan. Names of children
not known except for William Carr who moved ca. 1838 to Floyd Co., GA. William

Need info on the parents of Robert Carr who was killed by Creek Indians at
Carr's Fort in Wilkes County, GA in 1779. His wife was Leanna Ragan Carr, who
remarried to John Graham in Wilkes County. The Carrs bought land in 1773
Wilkes Co. on Beaverdam Creek and British records show they came from NC with
2 children in 1773. Known children were William Carr, Robert Carr and John
Carr. There were others, but names are not known. Help!

Robert, John and William Carr were sons of Robert and Leanna Ragan Carr of
Wilkes County, Georgia. Robert Carr, the father, d. 1779 in Indian attack.
Leanna remarried to John Graham. Need parents of Robert Carr and families of
Robert Carr, Jr., and John Carr. Leanna died in 1840s in home of son William
