This is what I have on a Howard Carr in your timeframe. (I have three others,
two from late 1800s and one from the current century.)

Hi Pat,
Thanks for responding. I would love to join the mailing list. How do I go
about it?
I have to figure out from my grandfather back just how the lineage goes. My
mother's brother is the former Congressman from MI, Bob Carr. I noticed
there is another Bob Carr running from that state, I wonder if he's related?
She said her ggrandf. was George Steven married to Nora Cooke , and her
grandf. was Howard who married Bertha Mackie. Besides this connection I am
interested in the lineage from William of London on back into Scotland. Do
you know how Benjamin (1592) and Martha died, since I think they died the
same year? I don't know which son of Robert (1614) that I'm descended from.
I don't have any gen. softward, just surfing the web, I'm new at this.
Thanks,
Patti ps. my eudora is messed up and I can only send short messages at a
time.

Pat,
Thanks for the info for the mailing list. The info I got from my mom: her
gfather, Howard Carr m. Bertha Macky, lived in Red House, NY.; Her father:
Milton Raymond b. in Red House; her father's sibling: Geroge Stephen m.
Nora Cook, Homer m. to Lilly,
Ada is the mother of Bruce Fredrickson m to Maggie, Myra, Celestine.
Sorry there are no dates. I am writing to Maggie Fredrickson, she's supposed
to have all kinds of info. She lives in Lockport NY.
I know my mom was born in Cattaraugus (sp) NY. I'll let you know when I
have more definate info.

Pat,
Sorry I was so confusing, after another call to my mom I think I have it
straightened out now:
I Howard had children:
1. Homer who m. Lily ?
2. Howard m. Bertha Macky (sp?)
3. Ada
4. Celestine
5. Myra
(6) George Stephen m. Nora Cook (Cooke) who is descended from someone who
came over on the Mayflower.
(6) George S. children:
1. Russel m. Gertrude Coffee (sp)
a. His child: Russel Jr.
2. Milton Raymond m. Ruth Jeanne Cleveland (descended from Moses C.)
a. His child: Emma Louise Carr (my mother)
Subj: Carr 2 of 2
The family home was in Red House, NY. It is just outside Salamanca in the
Allegheny State Park. Most of the Carrs in this family live in western NY.
The Howard that is m. to Bertha M. has a grandson named Bob Carr that lives
in Grand Island. Ada has a son named Bruce Fredrickson m to Maggie ? My
mother said she just wrote Maggie this a.m. saying she could not make the
Carr family reunion this year and asked her to send me some information.
Apparently she has all the family info. My uncle Bob Carr (my mother's half
brother) is the only one who lives in Michigan. He is the former
Congressman.
I joined the mailing list yesterday and will post when I get it together.
Thanks,
Patti

Hi,
My name is Patti Brown, I'm new to the list, and I live in Grand Prairie,
Tx. I am researching my mother's family that originated in Red House NY
(just outside Salamanca in the Allegheny St. Park). The line of descent is:
Howard, then George Stephen, then Milton Raymond-my grandfather, to E.
Louise, my mother.. I have been told we are descended from Robert Carr who
arrived here in 1635 with his brother Caleb. I would like to find the links
between Howard back to Robert, (as well as all the "branches.") Most of the
family resided in western NY, and I believe many still do. Any
information you can give would be most appreciated.
