Hi Carol & other Researchers--
Am using reply-mode so you can see what it is I am talking about, since it has
been several days! I think I replied once to you about the book "Its McCraw &
Not McGraw" being one source. Tonite, I had some time to read some more, and,
actually, for the first part of your question (Capt. William Carr/Elizabeth
Winston)-- I really think that this info came from "Sandra of Sacremento"-- is
she not the listowner of the Rootsweb - Carr ?? I'm not really sure at this
point - but you should try her for sure on those earlier names.
It looks like you have good info. about the bro/sis's of Ann Winston Mary
Carr. (sometimes Mary is listed as a middle name and sometimes not--). Note: I
only have info about her children & their spouses. Other than who she married,
and the names of both of their parents, I am clueless.
I think Sandra also has info. on this 2nd generational-part of your
question (Ann Mary Winston Carr/Col. George Waller "II", s/o George Waller
"I"/Elizabeth Allen.) But, I also did find this written up in the McCraw Book
mentioned earlier. (I double-checked this tonite.) Ann Winston Carr/George
Waller, & I am looking at a list of 8 children/spouses which I posted here a
few days ago.
Where the McCraws come in: A dau, Elizabeth Annie Waller, m. Jacob W.
McCraw. And, a son, John Waller (sister to Elizabeth Annie) will marry Polly
(mary) Cooper. John/Polly's dau. Penelope will marry her 1st cousin George
McCraw. Any guesses who he is? -- The son of Elizabeth Annie Waller & Jacob
McCraw!

proof & answers to questions below.. Thanks.
Can you tell me what proof you have of the Capt. William Carr m. Elizabeth
Winston? I have only in the records seen Susanna (surname not proven). This
is the William Carr d. 1760 Spots Co VA? Son of [?William] CARR &
[?Susanna] CHILES.
Do you have proof of the Ann to George Waller; I have listed M. A Waller
but don't have proof & could easily be incorrect.
I doubt if her name could be Mary she had a sister Mary m. Nicholas
Crenshaw, never saw her listed as other than Ann Carr.
