I don't have a name match, but I have a Carr from Van Buren Co, MI from the
timeframe in question. See my correspondence below:

Dear Pat,
Yes Pat, you did send that to me and I surely do appreciate it. I was just
wondering if you had any further descendants of this family. But I suppose
you would have given that to me if you had.
Months ago I had written to the Michigan Historical Center in Lansing MI
looking for information on a Stephen Cash living in Lawrence, Van Buren, MI
in the 1860's. He was from Chenango County. They sent me military info on
Michigan Volunteers in the Civil War - Record of Service. NOW right by his
name, I notice, is the name of Moses Carr living in Paw Paw, MI same
county(not far from Lawrence). Here's the write up on Moses. Enlisted in
Battery I, Dec 24 1863, at Paw Paw, for 3 yrs, age 18. Mustered Jan 9, 1864.
Died of disease at Chattanooga, TN May 12 1864. Buried in National Cemetery
at Chattanooga, TN. Grave No. 1377. Physical description of Moses was blue
eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, 5'4" tall and was a farmer.
Here's what I find so interesting about this. Living in Paw Paw at that time
were other Cash family members from Rockland Co, NY - then Stephen from
Chenango Co - and Moses. If Moses is the great-grandson of Job Car and
Mehitable Cash that could explain why they're all living so close together.
Any ideas?
