1490/1 18 Feb Sir Robert Ker of Calverton, is designed in a Crown charter by
Kin James IV, son and apparent heir of Walter Ker of Cessford, to whom and to
his heirs he granted the knoll or mote commonly called Hoselaw, and three
acres
of dominical land surrounding the said Hoselaw. (Note: from topographical map
furnished me by Francis Kerr Duns, Scotland, this knoll is 3/4 of a mile
southwest of Hoselaw Loch, now known as Hoselawhill, part of Place Graden

1528 Andrew Ker, is granted the lands of Wester-Hoselaw by Hugh Somerville,
formerly belonging to Mark Ker of Dolphinston, by charter. Andrew remaned

claimed the lands of Grden, Fallside, Hoselaw and Hoselawhill. Which belonged
to Henry Ker late of Graden, convicted of High Treason, by authority of the
Clan Act, passed by Parliament in the first year of the reign of King George.
