Dear Mike and Bill,
My great-grandfather was named John Carr and his wife was Mary Neiles. I have a relative
in the Trenton area that I communicate. I will find if they are familiar with your
Carrs.
The name John Carr is very common in our family as the first sons were usually named
John.

Gene & Bill:
My great-grandfather, Patrick Carr, was from Donegal. His parents were John Carr and
Mary Cassidy.
Patrick left to go to Glasgow and there married Emma Williams. After two children were
born there, they moved to Trenton, NJ around 1882. My grandfather was John T. Carr, Sr.
who worked his entire career for the NJ Dept. of Transportation.
Patrick worked in the pottery mills as many Irish did. The Carrs lived on Ferry Street
and eventually moved to Hamilton Avenue near Newkirk in Hamilton Twp.
Check out the Mill Hill Historical Society for links to census info about that area of
old Trenton.
If you think there is any connection, contact me.
Good Luck!
Mike Carr
