Hi, all -
Finally - I found info on one of my own CARR relations! Edward Q. CARR,
Sr. was a cousin to my grandmother Bertha CARR Hogan.... I've never been
able to find much on this line, until now....

Obituary: Edward Q. Carr Sr. of Quincy, a retired construction clerk, died
Saturday at home after a brief
illness. He was 73.
Born in Boston, Mr. Carr attended English High School and Boston University.
He lived in Hyde Park before moving to Quincy 35 years ago.
Mr. Carr was employed as a clerk of the works in the construction industry.
He looked at blueprints and
oversaw architects. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of the Weymouth Sportman's Club and was an active historian
for Quincy Families of
American Society.
Mr. Carr is survived by his wife, Jean M. (Shinney); his mother, Dorothy
Quincy Carr of West Roxbury;
three sons, Paul F. of North Andover, Edward Q. and Joseph M., both of
Chelmsford; two daughters,
Catherine Cantrell of Chelmsford and Ann Carr Rogers of Greenfield; two
sisters, Barbara E. Perry of
California and Dorothy J. Buckley of West Roxbury; two brothers, John Q. of
New Mexico and James M. of
Pembroke; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Ann's Church in
Quincy.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Arrangements are by Keohane Funeral Home, 333 Hancock St., West Roxbury
